Minnesota's Premier Fall Race
The NorthShore Run offers two unique running races, our St. Luke's Half-Marathon and Tunnel 10k. The St.Luke's Half-Marathon offers a beautiful route along Lake Superior navigating the scenic north shore drive. The race also adds a one-of-a-kind twist! Runners take a turn at the northern end point of I-35 while entering Duluth and get the experience of running on the Interstate. The Tunnel 10k racers also get the unique experience of running on I-35, through the tunnels both ways. Join hundreds of other runners for this unique fall set of races.

OUR 2024 RACES
St. Luke's Half Marathon
13.1 Miles | point-to-point
Run along the scenic North Shore of Lake Superior, on a 13.1 mi point to point course. Enjoy the same spectacular and iconic route as another premiere Duluth Half Marathon run in June, but take the interstate (I-35) for the last few miles of the race. During the St. Luke’s Half Marathon runners will start on the Scenic Highway and run along the unmatched shoreline to Duluth. In Duluth, runners enter the interstate highway system and go through the I-35 tunnels, completely unique to our event. To finish, runners will drop down to the St. Louis Bay to finish alongside the famous William A. Irvin freighter as fans cheer you on. This is a fantastic race for all level of runners.

Finden Marketing Tunnel 10k
6.2 Miles | Circle Route
You won't want to miss the chance to run this one-of-a-kind race. The Tunnel 10k race route takes you through 6 tunnels of I-35 and will keep a spring in your step with live music. While most of the time if you are running or walking on an interstate, you are carrying an empty gas can, not during the Tunnel 10K! Our closed course allows you to run on one of the most unique race routes in Minnesota. After experiencing the rare chance to race on an Interstate, you will continue alongside the St. Louis Bay to the finish line at the famous William A. Irvin, a retired lake freighter. Join us come race day! This race does not have bussing and racers should park at the DECC and meet on the interstate overpass near the Depot (Pin below)

The St. Luke's Half Marathon was my first half marathon and it far exceeded my expectations! Running down the beautiful shore and ending by the bridge was an experience everyone should have. It was a well organized race Very fun and would recommend to anyone no matter their skill level.

It was my first half so that was daunting in and of itself. The run views made the 13.1 go by with ease though. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a low-key half marathon to be a part of. It was very well planned and you honestly cannot beat the route.
