Is the course hilly?
The half marathon run course has some small rolling hills, however, we do not consider any of the hills to be intimidating for the average runner. The Tunnel 10k is very flat.

Are there water stations along the course?
Yes, we have three water stations at half marathon miles 4, 8 and 10.

Do you place Porta Potties along the course?
Yes, we have 20 at the 1/2 marathon start area, 4 at the 10k start line, 2 at each of the medical and water stations and 12 at the finish.

May I pick up my race packet the morning of the race?
Yes, from 5:00 – 9:00 am a tent will have all the remaining packets at the front main entrance to the DECC complex where the buses load for the marathon events. Once the last bus leaves the packets are no longer available. Note: this is not the door used for the expo of the finish line activities.

If I can’t pick up my race packet, can a friend pick it up for me?
No, you must pick up your own packet.

Can I run with my stroller? Can I run with my dog?
We do allow jogging strollers on the course, but ask that you start near the back and be extra cautious around other runners. Also, there is a chance that inline skaters or rollerskiers will pass you on the course and you should be aware of that, as they can be going upwards of 35mph. We do not allow dogs on the race course.

What is your refund policy?
Entry fees are nonrefundable. The race will be held rain or shine. There are no transfers of race packets or bib numbers and no refunds.

What do I do with my gear at the half marathon start?
We provide a bag with your bib number on it so that you may place your personal items in it. The bags are then placed in trucks and transported to the finish area. Please be patient. It takes time to sort thousands of bags. Do not put any valuables in the bag.

Can I switch my finisher t-shirt for a different size?
After all the finisher shirts have been distributed you can try to switch shirt sizes if they exist, but not before all competitors get the shirt they ordered.

Can I change events?
Yes, event changes MUST be done prior to August 31. The fee for changing your race/event is $15. Please contact the office at (218) 723-1503 for further details.
